ANXIETY COUNSELLING SERVICES
"A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life" - Christopher K. Germer

Clo Nickel is a Registered Professional Therapist author, a speaker, and a member of the Canadian Professional Counselling Association.
about
I began a career in mental health after writing about my own struggles with an anxiety disorder and publishing the book Anxiety's Inner Voice in 2010. The anxiety and depression I wrote about in my book, drove me to find the path to my own successful healing through the skills of cognitive reframing, emotional self-acceptance, and mindful self-compassion.
I have over 8 year’s experience in both group facilitating and individual counselling. During this time, I have been profoundly honored to witness and help guide my clients to not only heal, but thrive and grow into their authentic selves. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, warm, compassionate, and uniquely understanding. The clinical modalities I draw on to create a tailored treatment plan for each individual include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Acceptance and Compassion based therapies.
